2 Months!!!!

Hello out there!  Nate is 2 months old and the time has just flown by!  This past week Nate has been smiling (a LOT), sleeping (a little more than usual), and really starting to play with all of this toys.  His 2 month check up went very well.  Nate is up to 11 pounds, 13 ounces and 23 inches long.  He cried when he got his vaccines, but he calmed down when daddy and mommy rocked him.  Here are some pictures from this past week or so (we also had cousin Shayla's birthday party, but Mommy didn't have enough arms to bring the camera...we will add some after Meema or Aunt Krysty sends them)!:
Great Grandma and Ellie came to visit

I started LOVING my Rainforest Bouncy Seat!

Pop-pop came home from his business trip...I missed him!

I've been practicing my sitting

Mexican standoff between Sammy and Sophie-the-giraffe.
Sammy really wants to get the squeaker out of her every single day.
(Sammy has been caught crying by the door and laying on the rug near Sophie's spot on the shelves)

Here is a close-up of me and Sophie...she's my buddy

Here I am smiling...this is my favorite trick!

7 weeks = playdates and outtings!!!

UpNate:
After going through a major growth spurt (which meant he was incedibly cranky), Nate has been super happy and ready to travel!  This wee we had a bunch of playdates and saw many people.  Also, Nate has been smiling a lot more (as seen above), he seems to recognize his mommy and daddy, and he loves to look at the airplane mobile in his room.  Hope you enjoy the pictures below:

My first trip to Daddy's softball game:

6 Weeks!!!

UpNate:
Nate is doing really well, he is trying his hardest to sleep at night...but we are still working on it!  We had a busy 2 weeks since the last post, Nate has been venturing out of the house more, and so we have had the following milestones:  Nate had his first sleepover at Grandma's house (we had to evacuate our house when the central air was "broken"), he had his first play date (with future wife Jordana...though I could kick myself for not bringing my camera!), he went to his first kid's birthday party (for cousin Anna's 3rd birthday), and he gained a ton of weight (now tipping the scales at 10.8 lbs).  He has been smiling a lot more and has moved into larger clothes and diapers (no more newborn, sniff sniff).  Here are some photos we took during the week:

Molly came to visit!!!  (I got much happier after Mommy fed me)

And Gianine came the next  day!!!  LHS in the house!

This is my new bear mat, Mommy wants one in her size.

Anna the birthday-girl!!!!
Notice the giant bounce house in tha backyard?

My cousins love to take care of me (with supervision)

Family shot!

Daddy loaded up my stroller to leave the party
(check out the basket, daddy's party favor was apprently beer).
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

One Month!!!

UpNate:
Well our little guy was officially 1 month old on Monday!  Nate has changed so much in the last month it's incredible.  He is getting a real personality and is quickly becoming our very best buddy.  Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks:
Love my bath, now that my umbillical cord is off!

Reading my favorite book, "I love you, Stinky Face"
(Please excuse mommy's hair and PJ's)

My favorite friend, Mr. Monkey

My favorite toy, the Rainforest Mat

Sammy likes it too!

Playdate with my Aunties!!!

My first PARTY, Great-Grandma's 80th Birthday!
Alright Mommy, no more photos!

1 Month Check-up:
We took Nate to the doctor for his 1 Month check-up this week.  He is now 9 lbs, 12.5 oz and 22 inches.  He is tracking nicely from his birth and the doctor thinks he is just perfect (as so we)!  He was really well behaved and spent the entire appointment on the table staring at everything, very happily.  Our only moment of saddness came when Nate got his first shot.  He first looked at me, as if to say "what the heck mom, weren't you supposed to be looking out for this".  Then we wailed for a few seconds, with his first real tears (newborns don't generally have tears when they cry).  And finally, he snuggled into my chest and calmed down.
Check out my birthmark, both Mommy and Daddy have matching ones!

4 Years?!?!?!
Hard to believe it's already been 4 years since Kurt and I said our "I dos".  It has been quite an exciting ride so far and the last month has been the greatest adventure of all.  We are so happy to have Nate join our little family and loved spending the day celebrating with him (that is, until grandma Ilene came over to watch him for a few hours while we went on our first dinner out).

Have a great week!!
