1st Halloween Costume Party!

The lion is the king of the jungle, and he says...ROAR!  So, today Nate and I went to his first costume party with some of his friends from music class.  This is Nate's 1st costume of the season and we decided to go with the lion.  Nate's older cousin Kate wore this costume for her first Halloween and we wanted to pass down the tradition (she was a fairy princess for her 2nd Hallowen, we probably will not follow in that tradition).  Nate was a little fussy during the party, as it turns out, his costume was really HOT.  His favorite part of the day is when I changed his diaper and took off his costume.  Here are some pictures of Nate and his friends:

Happy Halloween!

Perhach Pumpkin Patch!

Well, we went back to the farm with Kurt's side of the family!  We spent the early afternoon apple and pumpkin picking and Nate got to spend some quality time with his "Perhach" cousins (and even on who is almost here)!  We also got to see Meema and Aunt Krysty & Uncle John.  Here are some shots from the day:

So..where do we go to pay for this guy?

NJ Aquarium

So since Kurt had off today, we decided to take Nate to the NJ Aquarium for the first time.  He LOVED the big tanks that he could stand in front of and kind of hated the small dark ones.  We figure that the big tanks look like the TV set (which we don't let him watch, but he is obsessed with when daddy watches football).  Anyway, his favorite spots were the penguins, the sharks, and the stingrays...he looked a little afraid of the hippos.  Here are some shots from the day:

Well hello Mr. Fish

Those birds look very dapper!

I'm too scared to touch...

...maybe I changed my mind
(Note: we decided he was too young to be "interactive" with
the stingray, his hands never touched the water)

Hey, are these the Jellyfish that got daddy?

or perhaps these?
(Answer: Neither, Kurt was stung by a much scarier and more
dangerous jellyfish on our honeymoon)

Go TERPS!!!

On Saturday we took Nate for his 1st official trip to my happy place, aka, The University of Maryland (where I went to college).  It just so happened to be Homecoming weekend and all of my besties (and Nate official "Aunties") were all itching for a little College Park time.  We didn't make it to the game, which was scheduled for after Nate's bedtime, but we hit up all of mommy favorite haunts and formally introduced Nate to the Testudo statue that I have rubbed several hundred times for luck (even asking Testudo to help us have a baby the last time I rubbed his nose the last time I was here).  Additionally, Nate had a real College Park experience by hanging out at Cornerstone and then puking all over his outfit (not the first person to have done that by a long shot, haha).  Here are some shots of the day with Nate:

...and the boys too!

I had to test out Testudo's back

Down on the farm...

Today we took Nate to Terhune Orchards.  He needs to be a little bit older to be able to appreciate everything the Orchard has to offer, but we had fun looking at the animals, learning about the farm, and eating pumpkin cookies (well Kurt and I did at least).  Anyway, this is why I love the Fall so much...hanging on the farm.  Here are some pictures from the day:

Happy Fall!!!

Hello all!
Fall is finally here and it is most certainly my favorite season.  I love the weather, the fashion, the leaves changing colors, and the flavors (pumpkin and spice).  Nate has already been experiencing fall to the fullest...get ready for many fall blog posts to come!

Sports fan!

Nate is 4 Moths Old!!!

Here are 4 things about Nate for his 4 month milestone:

1. He found his hands!  Like really found them, and what is he doing with this knowledge...eating them.  He has his hands in his mouth constantly...oh the germs!

2.  He is obsessed with Sammy.  Every time he sees her he squeals and cracks up in delight (video of me imitating Sammy to make him crack up to follow)

3. The number of time he has been sick in the last month= 3.  I have had a stomach bug, a cold, and a rash.  The pediatrician probably thinks I am insane because I am constantly calling.  I refer back to point #1 as the reason Nate has been getting sick recently (the entire house has recently been disinfected as a result)

4.  He LOVES to pull hair, LOOOOOOVES it.  So, if you have the pleasure of holding Nate (and you have long hair), consider a ponytail...he don't like to let go.
