Tummy time!!!
Sick baby boy...
This week Nate had his first real illness :( He had some sort of bug that gave him a fever and upset stomach. He spent the better part of 2 days and 3 nights sleeping on mommy and cuddling. He was not his usual "talkative" self and didn't even complain when we bathed him. Poor baby was so quiet and sleepy, but he seems to be back to his normal bubbly self.

Eartquakes, floods, hurricanes...
Well this week has been especially crazy for weather. Nate experienced his first earthquake and Hurricane. Coming from North Carolina, Sammy had been in hurricanes before (for the record, she is not a fan). I was shocked to find that her reaction to the ground shaking earthquake was to wake up from her nap, raise her head, look around, and go back to sleep. We had some damage to our house form the hurricane; a tree fell in our driveway and took some electrical lines with it (hence, we had no internet), our basement flooded through the basement windown (though the new waterproofing system was fantastic and took care of it...now we just need to fix the windows), and our roof leaked. here are some shots of us dealing with the weather:

Hair raising!!!
3 Months!!!!
Hey all! Nate is 3 months old and time is flying!!! We love our little guy and in honor of his 3 month birthday, we wanted to share 3 things about Nate:
1. Nate's Favorite book is "Little Blue Truck", no matter how upset he is, hearing the truck and animal noises from this book will always calm him down.
2. Nate's Favorite animal (besides Sammy) is the monkey. He loves to snuggle his face into soft things (blankets, towels, etc), but his favorite is his monkey lovie and the monkey straps on his carseat.
3. Nate has begun to imitate us. It's really the coolest thing, if one of us sticks out our tongue or blows raspberries, Nate will do the same!
Happy 3 months to our little boy!
xoxo, Jilly & Kurt
PS- we are working on updating the blog, we lost internet during the hurricane, so now we are playing catch-up
